Cold Weather Option and Upgrade
The cold weather option/upgrade allows the Model 202 and Model 205 Ozone Monitors to operate down to -20°C. This upgrade includes a lamp heater and replacement of the sampling pump with a low-temperature pump. These upgrades are required for operations below about 0°C because the lamp may not turn on at low temperatures, and the polymer diaphragm becomes too stiff and causes the pump motor to burn out in standard air pumps. This upgrade was developed in collaboration with the British Antarctic Survey, which operates 2B Tech Ozone Monitors outdoors throughout the winter in Antarctica. The Cold Weather Option is available on newer instruments (those having a single long-life sampling pump) at a cost of $550. For older instruments having two sampling pumps (main and backup), please contact us for information about necessary upgrades.
Flow Through Option
The Flow Through option on the Model 106-L, Model 106-M, and Model 106-MH Ozone Monitors enables you to use your ozone system to provide air directly to the instrument, rather than the internal pump used in the standard versions of these instruments. The Flow Through configuration is particularly useful for inline ozone measurements in industrial ozone systems.
Multi-Channel Option
The Multi-Channel option on the Model 106-L, Model 106-M, and Model 106-MH Ozone Monitors enables manual or automatic sampling of multiple air streams. This is particularly useful in industrial applications and in atmospheric monitoring systems. Three-channel and six-channel configurations are available.
Battery
We offer an external battery (Bescor) that will operate a Model 202 Ozone Monitor for ~24 hours; a Model 205 Ozone Monitor for ~19 hours; a Model 106-L Ozone Monitor for ~15 hours; or a Model 211 Ozone Monitor for ~11 hours. This lithium ion battery weighs only 1.5 lb and comes with a fabric case with belt clip. It attaches to our instruments by means of the cigarette lighter adapter provided. Price for battery and charger is $480. Price for the battery alone is $400.
Flash Memory
The SD flash memory is now standard on the Model 202, Model 205, and Model 211 Ozone Monitors, as well as the Model 405 NO2/NO/NOx Monitor.
Particle Filter
We recommend use of an external filter to prevent contamination of the instrument by particulate matter. We offer a PVDF (Kynar®) filter holder for $300 and a pack of ten 5-6 micron PTFE (Teflon®) filters for $120.
Spare Parts
For field use, we recommend having a few spare parts on hand for repairs. The air pumps, for example, have finite lifetimes, and the internal ozone scrubber should be replaced at least every six months of operation. Field Kits and spare parts may be purchased online here: Spare Parts
Also, please feel free to contact us at sales@twobtech.com about the parts you need or to return your instrument to us for repairs.

Custom Builds
We work with our customers to develop custom instruments as needed. In fact, some of our products, such as the Model 205 Dual Beam Ozone Monitor, were originally developed as customized instruments to meet the requirements of specific customers. Some examples are shown below. Please contact us if you have special requirements.
